    1. According to the given problem statement;

      Distance covered by train in 3 seconds = 110 meters

      Then the speed of train can be calculated by the relation;

      Speed = distance / time

      Speed = 110 / 3 m/s = 36.67 m/s

      So the train moves with a speed of 36.67 meters per second.

      Train crosses a platform of length = 165 meters

      Time taken to cross the platform = ?

      Total length of train and platform= 165 + 110 meters = 275 meters

      Repeating the relation for velocity;

      velocity = distance / time

      Time = distance / velocity = 275 / 36.67

      Time = 7.5 seconds
